The railing is clearly signed and dated with the year of manufacture. (VMI-Vintage Metalworks, Inc.) This Mid-19th Century New Orleans wrought iron tomb enclosure is mostly intact, just needing cleaning and paint. It was one of several that served as a model for reconstruction of missing elements on other ironwork in the same cemetery.
