Arborists advocate that newly planted trees be allowed to move in the wind

Vintage Metalwork, Inc.
Arborists advocate that newly planted trees be allowed to move in the wind in order to build up a strong root stock. A series of prototypes of tree guards have been developed that can not only protect trees from all kinds of aggression in urban environments, but can provide just the type of flexible support that arborists would like to see. This photo shows a tree with a typical rigid staking.
